David and Kevin Owens of Concrete Art of Oklahoma just finshed the resurfacing of this
Oklahoma City industrial Building concrete floor. David and Keith are certified installers of One Day Floors “High Performance” Polyaspartic coatings.
Polyaspartics manufactured by Bayer Material Sciences are technologically advanced concrete floor coatings with benefits that exceed any other coating. Utilizing One Day
Floors PPS, Prep Perfect System, the pores of the concrete
are opened allowing for thePolyaspartic to “wet” into the concrete and become partof the concrete. This means that the One Day Floors Polyaspartic (ODFSpartic)absorbs into and becomes part of the concrete. It is not a coating that merely sticks to the surface that can
delaminate like epoxies and other coatings. It protects the concrete, has elasticity enabling it to move with expansion and contraction of concrete
plus it’s decorative. There are many other benefits.
One Day Floors certifies all applicators providing continuing education with a strong, growing network.
The Oklahoma City industrial building is a new construction 10,000 square foot steel structure housing a
collection of sports cars. For this project the client decided on a white, gray and black decorative chip systeminlaid with custom graphics. Though it is possible to install a floor in one day the size of the floor prolonged the project for 3 days
and was ready for use the fourth.
The first day was spent completing all the prep work. The Oklahoma City industrial building floor had a few cracks and expansion joints filled with One Day Floors proprietary crack filler. The entire floor was grinded utilizing the PPS system leveling the floor and opening up the pores of the concrete.
The next day the One Day Floors “Pure Bred” Polyaspartic (ODF Spartic) was applied integrally colored in gray. After
the floor dried, about 1 hour the custom graphics were
applied.
Day 3, the final day of application, 2 coats were applied. This being the second ODF Spartic decorative chip coat. Once dry the floor was scraped clean of any chips exposing high points the the entire floor was blown clean. The final and top coat was clear drying within an hour or so. The results were impressive. Thegraphics looked like they were set in glass, the light reflection illuminated the 10,000 square foot building. This didn’t look like any Oklahoma City
industrial building butmore like an elegant showroom.

When the owner rolled in his collection of sports cars the building took on a whole new appearance. Now all it needs is a bar, pool table and a few flat screen TV’s.
