We mentioned the advantage of cleaning garage floors resurfaced with Polyaspartics in a recent update. When epoxy floors get small scratches the scrtaches get frayed trapping dirt that cannot be cleaned. Conversely, small micro scratches that get in One Day Floors Polyaspartics can be easily cleaned because sctaches do not fray and dirt will not be trapped.
The following system developed by Joe Sheehan shows an effective system for cleaning garage floors or any floor resurfaced with polyaspartics.
Cleaning Garage Floors
Tools Needed -Soft Surface Push Broom, 2 sided foam squeegy, 5 Gallon Plastic Bucket, Joy Household Dish Soap, Clear Amonia, Wet Dry Shop Vac.
Step 1. Clean floor of sand, dirt and dust with broom and wet vac.

Step 2. Add 5 gallons of hot or very warm water to bucket and mix in 2 pints of Amonia.
Step 3. Pour water onto floor, scrub with broom releasing dirt.

Step 4. Use foam squeegy to clean water from floor and vacuum with your wet vac. Repeat steps 2,3.4 for pristine cleaning.
Step 5. Clean stains, tire marks and/or oil with Joy hand detergent. ( Joy contains a degreasing agent) . Scrub vigoursly with hand held scrub brush, then vacuum with wet vac.

Amonia is recommended because it does not leave any soapy residue on the floor. When cleaning garage floors or any commercial floor this system will restore the floor to new removing abrasives prolonging the life of the floor. Considering that Polyaspartics are 3x the strength of epoxies and have tremendous clarity, periodic cleaning will ensure a clean durable floor for many years.
